Flute Graduate with a first prize from Conservatoire de musique de Montréal in 1986, Diane Caplette pursued her career as chamber musician and teacher. She is presently principal flute with the Montreal Chamber Orchestra, member of l'Ensemble Alizé, Quatuor Syrinx and l'Ensemble du Carré St-Louis. Many time bursary holder from Wind Ensembles in Quebec, she has participated in flute master classes given by renowned flautists. Since 1991, she has taught the flute at Cégep Saint-Laurent and has been conducting the Wind Ensemble, as well, since 2004. |
Violin Solange Bellemare studied the violin at l'École des Petits Violons with
Jean Cousineau from 1967 to 1982 and graduated in music from l'École de Musique Vincent-d'Indy with a DEC en musique. In 1983, she attended McGill University to perfect her skills as both violist and violinist in chamber music.
As a freelance musician, she is often called upon to play with various
ensembles. Presently, she is a regular member of l'Orchestre Symphonique de
Longueuil.
In addition, she is a member of two other ensembles directed by Jean Deschênes: l'Ensemble Strauss-Lanner and l'Ensemble Johann Schrammel. She completes her life as
musician by dedicating a significant portion of her time to teaching the violin, particularly to young children. |
Cello Graduate from McGill University in 1977 with a Licentiate
of Music Diploma in cello performance and Boston University, with a Master of Music Degree in cello performance in 1981. Iona Corber has performed with l'Orquesta Mexicana de la Juventud in Mexico
City, l'Orchestre des Jeunes du Québec and Les
Jeunes Virtuoses. She has been performing with l'Orchestre Symphonique de Longueuil since its inception in 1986. In addition to managing and performing with Trio Ambiance, which she founded
in 1986, she has been performing with l'Ensemble du Carré St-Louis. She teaches Suzuki cello as well as " Music for Young Children ® ". |
